Defence Sec-Gen Halimi Abd Manaf tops list of Pahang awards and medal recipients

KUANTAN: Secretary-general of the Ministry of Defence Datuk Halimi Abd Manaf topped the list of 148 recipients of medals and honours in conjunction with the Paduka Ayahanda Sultan Ahmad Shah’s birthday celebration ceremony at the Istana Abu Bakar in Pekan, near here today.

Halimi was conferred the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award which carries the title Datuk Seri with nine other individuals including Lipis MP Datuk Abdul Rahman Mohamad; and the media advisor of the Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Centre of the Prime Minister’s Office, Datuk Ibrahim Abdul Rahman.

Other recipients of the award were Pahang police chief Datuk Mohd Zakaria Ahmad; HSS Engineers Berhad executive director Datuk Ir Ismail Md. Salleh; Advocate and Solicitor, Datuk Abdul Halim Yahya; Eastern Executive Sdn Bhd chairman Datuk Maharudin Hassan, Safemine Minerals Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) director Datuk Marcus Lee Andrew; Second Beauty Secret Sdn Bhd group chief executive officer Tan Ooi Han and DBS Hong Kong marketing manager Peter Vethamoney Ponnudurai .

The investiture ceremony was graced by the chairman of the Pahang Royal Council The Tengku Muda Pahang Tengku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ahmad Shah.

Meanwhile, four individuals received Darjah Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) award which carries the title of Datuk Indera. They were Peninsular Malaysia Forestry Director Datuk Nor Akhirrudin Mahmud, Department of Survey and Mapping (JUPEM) director-general Datuk Mohd Noor Isa, Pahang Public Service Commission chairman Datuk Mohamad Ridzwan Mohd Tahar and Pahang Public Works director Datuk Ir Abdul Jalil Mohamed.

The Pahang Regent had also consented to award the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) award which carries the title Datuk to five recipients, including two Pahang state executive council members Datuk Abd Aziz Mat Kiram and Datuk Mohammad Fakhruddin Mohd Ariff.

Three other recipients for the DSAP award were Yap Teiong Choon Holdings Sdn. Bhd director Datin Seri Phan Foo Beam; Pahang Education Director Tajuddin Mohd Yunus; and Sung Heng Hamper managing director Koh Yee Keng.

A total of 17 individuals received the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award which also carries the title of Datuk, among them NZS Ventures director Datin Seri Nurzarina Sepran; Malaysian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohd Aznor Mahat; Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) chief investment officer, Dr Suzana Idayu Wati Osman.

Other DIMP recipients include the director of Pahang Fisheries Department Azahari Othman; Asian Badminton Confederation chief operating officer Kenny Goh Chee Keong; Kuantan Air Base Commander Brig Gen Wan Amin Hafiz Wan Mahmud and the Kuala Lumpur Police Training Centre Commander SAC Shamsudin Mat.

The investiture also involves the Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP) award (five recipients), Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) (11 recipients), Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) (eight recipients), Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) (25 recipients), Pingat Khidmad Cemerlang (PKC) (16 recipients), Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) (12 recipients) and Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) (35 recipients). - Bernama
