KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) is expected to call up controversial cosmetics entrepreneur Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman, popularly known as Nur Sajat, for a 'consultation' session soon.
Its director Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad said however the department had yet to set a suitable date for Nur Sajat to meet its officers over the various controversies surrounding the businessman.
"But that should not be a problem because we have enough information to assist us in the session.
"We also take note of Malaysia Islamic Development Department's (Jakim) preference for us to look into the matter.
"For now we have yet to call (Nur Sajat)," he said.
Mohd Shahzihan added that the 'consultation' session was aimed at shedding more light into the numerous issues that cropped up recently.
Nur Sajat, whose gender has been a subject of debate for years, courted controversy after donning the telekung in videos posted on Instagram while performing umrah in Makkah.
