KUALA LUMPUR: Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today has called on Malaysians to adhere to the restricted movement order, which starts today.
Dr Noor Hisham, in his Facebook post, has pleaded Malaysians to take the restricted movement order seriously and just stay at home.
“Today is the first day of our “movement restriction order”. In simple words “please stay at home” and distance yourself from others.
“We have a small window of opportunity to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission.
“Please help the Health Ministry to play your part, as each and every one of us has the responsibility to take all the precautionary measures to keep ourselves and families safe.
“Failure is not an option here, otherwise, we might face the third wave of the virus.
“The next one will be as big as a tsunami, more so if we have a lackadaisical attitude,” he wrote.
Yesterday, Malaysia recorded its first two fatalities in the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, while new cases rose by 120, raising the tally of infections in the country to 673.
