KUALA LUMPUR: A 70-year-old man became Malaysia’s 11th Covid-19 fatality on Sunday night.
The patient, known as Case 1,070, died at the UKM Tuanku Muhriz Canselor Hospital here, last night.
The septuagenarian, who travelled to Indonesia in February, had an underlying chronic health condition.
“He showed (Covid-19) symptoms a week before being admitted to the UKM Tuanku Muhriz Canselor Hospital on March 18.
“He tested positive for Covid-19 on March 19, and was given respiratory support at the ICU.
“His health deteriorated and he died at 9.05pm on March 22,” Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a post on his Facebook page today.
