Dutch Lady helps frontliners stay nourished and strong by supplying them with milk

KUALA LUMPUR: Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad (DLMI) has contributed over 100,000 packets of Dutch Lady milk to frontliners who are fighting the Covid-19 outbreak.

The dairy producer delivered cartons of one-litre Dutch Lady +Protein milk, along with packets of 200ml and 225ml flavoured milk, to hospitals in an effort to keep the country's frontliners healthy and strong.

For medical personnel in Sungai Buloh Hospital, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), it was a joy to receive this unexpected gesture, as they have been working tirelessly around the clock to contain this infectious disease.

DLMI managing director Tarang Gupta said the company was grateful to the staff of these hospitals for their dedication and sacrifice.

"In this small way, we hope to do our part to support our medical frontline heroes, who are working without sleep and even forgoing food to save lives," Tarang said.

DLMI also distributed packets of milk to essential service workers, including law enforcement agencies and government agencies, as well as city councils, who are keeping the country safe and running.

Local NGO The Lost Food Project also received packets of milk to help their efforts in providing food products for the B40 community in Klang Valley.

As the country continues to stay at home amidst the Movement Control Order (MCO), DLMI would like to remind families to remember to drink milk as it contains essential nutrients such as protein, Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 for stronger bodies.
