PUTRAJAYA: As at noon, the total number of red zone areas remained at 13 despite the number of Covid-19 cases in the country.
Based on an infographic shared by the Health Ministry's Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC), Kuala Lumpur remains as the state with the highest number of Covid-19 positive cases in which 443 were active cases, with Lembah Pantai dominating in the number of active cases at 280.
All districts in Kuala Lumpur were still categorised as red zones except for Cheras which is now placed under the orange zone since there is a decrease in active cases from 98 previously recorded in the area to 33 cases.
Johor also recorded a high number in Covid-19 positive cases to date with 273, followed by Selangor with 230 cases, Negri Sembilan with 88 active cases, Pahang (80), Malacca (73), and Terengganu (44).
Several other states such as Kedah and Kelantan also have active cases in which five cases have been recorded in each state, while Penang recorded eight cases and Labuan Federal Territory (2).
To date, Malaysia has recorded a total of 5,780 cases and from the number, 1,820 cases are still active.
Meanwhile, a total of 3,862 Covid-19 patients had recovered while 98 deaths were recorded as of yesterday.
