#SHOWBIZ: Kakak Red thanks Datuk Red after completing her iddah period

KUALA LUMPUR: "Thank you for those 19 years," wrote Sharifah Norshafila Hashim on her Instagram account recently.

Norshafila, who was also known as Datin Red, recently completed her iddah period (the grace period before a Muslim widow or divorcee may legitimately remarry) on July 13.

Her post was also accompanied with photos featuring former husband Datuk Seri Abu Adnan, a.k.a. Datuk Red, together with herself and their children from their happier days.

"Nineteen years together, and now both of us have gone separate ways," wrote Norshafila who had also changed her IG handle from Datin Red to Kakak Red.

Earlier, in a TikTok live session, Adnan also shared that Norshafila had completed her iddah period.

"I have to announce this, so that there won't be any gossip flying around about her if she's seen outside now.

"I pray for her happiness and the best in life. She's no longer my responsibility now," said Adnan of his former first wife.

Meanwhile, his former second wife, singer Adira Suhaimi, completed her iddah period on July 14.

Adnan officially divorced Adira on Apr 24, after eight years of marriage. He then divorced Norshafila on May 14.

Adnan has nine children from those two marriages.
