KUALA LUMPUR: The government has created two mobile applications to help frontline workers detect new Covid-19 infections among Malaysians.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin urged the public to download the MySejahtera and MyTrace apps on their mobile phones as this could greatly help medical practitioners trace infections.
"In our effort to combat Covid-19, contact tracing is important. Medical workers must know if anyone has been in contact with a Covid-19 positive patient.
"To make contact tracing easy, the government has created the MySejahtera and MyTrace applications.
"I hope those with mobile phones download these apps to help the Health Ministry with contact tracing as this is part of our responsibility," he said in a special address today.
Based on checks, the MySejahtera application can be found on both Apple AppStore for and Google Play Store.
The MyTrace application, however, is only available for Android users for now, but is expected to be available for iPhone users soon.
