KUALA LUMPUR: Harakah founder and Pas stalwart Subky Abdul Latif died at around 11am today in his home from Myelodysplastic syndrome.

He was 80.

His family informed the public of his death through a Facebook post.

"We regret to say that our father has breathed his last. We seek forgiveness on his behalf and hope that he is placed among the prophets, friends and the righteous. Amin," his children posted on his Facebook wall.

Subky was warded at the Hospital Universiti Islam Malaysia in Kuantan in early June for a low red blood cell count, lung infection and heart problems.

His body will be brought to the Bilal bin Rabah Mosque, here, for prayers.
