KUALA LUMPUR: Only one sanitation operation was conducted in Melaka yesterday, Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.
He said since March 30, the operation under the Local Government and Housing Ministry had carried out 9,130 sanitation which involved 134 zones.
"A total of 12,652 premises have been sanitised which include 2,679 business premises, 5,507 government buildings, 1,591 housing areas, 2,521 public areas and 354 markets," said the Senior Defence Minister in a statement.
On the mandatory quarantine, he said the Health Ministry had carried out screenings on 13,341 individuals at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) between June 10 and yesterday.
He said from the total, 13,392 individuals tested negative and undergoing the mandatory home quarantine.
"51 others tested positive and have been sent to hospitals for treatment.
"Yesterday, a total of 1,146 Malaysians returned to the country from Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, China, Qatar, Australia, Belgium, India and United Kingdom.
"Of the total, 1,144 individuals have been ordered to home quarantine while two were sent to the hospital," he said.
He added police have made 1,083 standard operating procedure (SOP) home quarantine compliance monitoring and found that all the individuals adhered to the SOP.
