KUALA LUMPUR: The number of new Covid-19 cases sees a sharp increase today, with 432 new infections.
Today's figure is the country's all-time high. Yesterday, the Health Ministry logged 293 cases, and 317 cases the day before.
Of the total, 429 are local transmissions while three are imported cases.
All states and federal territories recorded new cases, except Penang and Perlis.
Kedah tops the chart with 241, followed by Sabah with 130.
Selangor logs 34 new cases, Kuala Lumpur has seven of which two are imported, Terengganu (5) and Labuan (4)
Perak, Putrajaya and Johor all report two new cases each. Meanwhile Negri Sembilan, Pahang, Kelantan, Melaka and Sarawak all have one new case each. The sole case in Sarawak today is an imported case.
