KUALA LUMPUR: Oasis Corporate Park management today confirmed that a staff from Pestech International Berhad tested positive for Covid-19 today.
In a statement, the management said a staff from the tenant, located at Meritus Block in Petaling Jaya, last checked in to the building on Oct 5, after clocking out from work.
"The patient's co-workers have been placed under quarantine. We have also immediately ordered the office space to close in order for sanitisation work to be conducted according to guidelines set by the Health Ministry (MoH).
"We have also sanitised Meritus Building and disinfected possible contaminated areas," the statement read.
The management has taken the necessary steps and immediate precautionary measures in accordance with the ministry's guidelines.
"We hope everybody remain calms and complies with the guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP) by the government.
"If any individual has symptoms of fever, dry cough, sore throat, breathing difficulties or shortness of breath, please seek immediate medical attention.
"For individuals returning from high-risk areas, please undergo the mandatory self or home quarantine as per the MoH Home Surveillance Order (HSO) rules".
