KUALA LUMPUR: An intern at Tesco Extra in Mutiara Damansara has tested positive for Covid-19.
A statement issued by Tesco Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd today said the store will reopen on Oct 15 at 10am as it is currently taking proactive measures to disinfect and deep clean the store overnight.
"Tesco is working with the Health Ministry to ensure the health and safety of its colleagues who may have been in close contact.
"The safety of our colleagues and customers remain our priority and we have extensive measures across our stores to help keep everyone safe including temperature checking at entrances, customer registry through the MySejahtera app, physical distancing guidance on the floor, and regular sanitation at the cashiers, trolleys and toilets," it said.
