KUALA LUMPUR: An employee of the Pelita restaurant chain at its Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam's outlet has tested positive for Covid-19 following a slight fever.
In a statement by Pelita Samudra Pertama (M) Sdn Bhd, it said the staff tested positive today and the outlet is now closed temporarily for close contact screening and sanitisation works.
It stressed that the closure only affects its Plaza Masalam outlet.
"We have done our best in being mindful of the standard operating procedures (SOP) by following all of the guidelines issued by the Health Ministry.
"The safety of our customers and workers are our priority. This is a first for us, we will continue to cooperate with the Health Ministry to curb the pandemic," the company said.
It also apologised to customers and gave their assurance on abiding by the SOPs.
