KUALA LUMPUR: A Covid-19 vaccination mobile truck outreach pilot programme will start in Kuala Lumpur soon.
Covid-19 National Immunisation Programme (NIP) Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the mobile trucks will be deployed to targeted areas to immunise people where the virus is spreading.
"The trucks will be stationed at areas such as the People's Housing Project (PPR) as well as construction sites which will continue to operate during the Movement Control Order 3.0," said Khairy in a press conference via Zoom today.
Khairy, who is Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, said he had discussed the matter with Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
Separately, Khairy said members of the media will receive appointments to their Covid-19 inoculation in early June, as he had said before.
He said a list of over 5,800 media personnel is being looked through and appointments will be allocated to them.
