"Checks showed there were 19 family members present, including children.
"Since weddings are not allowed to be held during the ongoing total lockdown period, the host, the groom and the photographer were issued with RM2,000 compound each.
"I am irked as there are still people out there who continue to blatantly flout the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) put in place during the lockdown period by hosting a wedding do.
"This is a selfish act without taking into consideration the current situation.
"I have said and I will say it again that that I will not compromise with anyone to ensure the SOP is strictly adhered too," he said today.
Noorzainy said, as of yesterday, police had issued 41 compounds against 37 men and four women for non-adherence to the SOP since the lockdown period.
Of the total, nine individuals were compounded for attempting interstate and inter district travel although a ban has been put in place.
