KUALA LUMPUR: A man who recently went viral following the last-minute cancellation of his wedding shared that he had spent more than RM30,000 on it.
In a TikTok video, the man known as Adam by netizens said the amount was spent for the wedding hall, door gifts and various other wedding expenses before his then fiancee's family decided to cancel the wedding on Aug 23.
This second video has also gone viral.
Adam said, despite his best efforts to ensure the wedding would continue, his attempt to persuade his now ex-fiancee came to no avail.
He said, since the wedding invitation had been delivered to various parties, they decided to change the wedding party to a 'doa selamat' ceremony instead.
Many TikTok users shared their support for Adam and asked him to remain strong despite the struggle he had to face.
Some users also told him to file a lawsuit for embarrassment.
However, he said any decision related to the lawsuit would be limited to their family only and would not be shared with the public.
Yesterday, a groom's calm demeanour in the face of his bride's no-show opened the floodgates of sympathy for the jilted man.
The groom's family decided to proceed with the ceremony without the bride, leaving guests stunned by the turn of events.
