KUALA LUMPUR: Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd says it is looking forward to supporting Malaysia in developing and strengthening its digital economy under the administration of newly-appointed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Its chief executive officer Michael Yuan said Huawei is ready to continue to support the country's development in the technology sector.
"Huawei has had the honour of walking alongside Malaysia in its digital transformation journey over the past 20 years, and throughout this time, we have seen tremendous and incredible growth thanks to the country's outstanding talent and excellent digital leadership.
"As such, Huawei stands ever ready and willing, as a global technology leader, to continue to be a valuable contributor to Malaysia's digital advancement through our technological expertise and resources, and to solidify the nation's position as the Asean Digital Hub," he said in a statement.
Yan also extended his congratulations to Ismail Sabri on the latter's appointment as Malaysia's ninth prime minister.
"We wish the prime minister good health and great success, as well as peace, stability, progress, and prosperity for the people of Malaysia under his stewardship," he said.
