ALOR SETAR: The State Legislative Assembly today unanimously approved an amendment to the Kedah state Constitution to lower the eligible voting age to 18 and allow youths to stand as candidates in elections.

The enactment to amend the state constitution was tabled by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor and supported by Datuk Suraya Yaacob (BN-Sg Tiang).
