KUALA LUMPUR: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) and Mara Corporation Sdn Bhd (Mara Corp) will cooperate fully with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on a probe into integrity issues involving several officers of the agency.

Mara chairman Datuk Seri Azizah Mohd Dun said the agency would leave investigations into the matter to the commission.

Mara in a statement yesterday said that it was conducting an internal probe on its officers involved in the integrity issue.

It also confirmed receiving a visit from a team of officers from MACC headquarters as investigators began their probe into Mara officers linked to allegations of integrity issues.

Berita Harian had earlier today reported that investigators raided at least three Mara offices in the federal capital in their investigations on the matter.

Several MACC officers were understood to have been present at the agency's offices from 9am onwards this morning, to take documents to help in their investigation.

Apart from the Mara headquarters in Jalan Mara, MACC officers are also said to have dropped by at the Mara investment company and a corporate secretary company as well as a corporate outsourcing services company linked to the agency, here.

MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed to BH the presence of officers at the Mara offices but declined to comment further.
