KUALA LUMPUR: e-Filing submissions for 2021 Income Tax Returns for E, BE, B, M, BT, MT, P, TF and TP Forms starts on March 1.
The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) said taxpayers can access the e-Filing system through its official website at www.hasil.gov.my>MyTax>Perkhidmatan ezHasil>eFiling.
The status of return forms, the refund process, e-Ledger and monthly tax deductions can be checked on MyTax.
IRB said taxpayers logging in for the first time into the e-Filing system must obtain the PIN number through 'Borang Maklum Balas' on the IRB website or at its branches.
Those who have forgotten their e-FIling password can reset it online via e-mail or through handphone numbers that are registered with the IRB, it added.
Those with problems resetting their passwords can contact Hasil Care Line at 03-8911 1000 or 03-8911 1100 (overseas), via live chats or at the nearest branch.
"Taxpayers are urged to submit their return forms and pay their income tax within the set period.
"They are advised to ensure all documents such as salary statements, receipts, invoices and other related documents are organised and kept for at least seven years as stipulated under Sections 82 and 82A of the Income Tax Act 1967.
"This must be done to ease the process of e-Filing and compliance checks by IRB in the future," it said.
