Rafizi to expose mishandling of RMN's RM9 billion LCS project

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli said he would make a detailed expose` involving the alleged mishandling of the Royal Malaysian Navy's (RMN) RM9 billion Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) project.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Rafizi claimed that the modus operandi was almost identical to the debt-laden 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal.

Although he did not identify actual dates, Rafizi called on social media users to stay updated with his latest postings throughout the month until Merdeka Day celebration, where he would divulge information on the project, including details of how dummy companies were created to embezzle monies allegedly related to the project.

"Masaklah Najib kali ini (Najib will be fried this time)," said Rafizi referring to the Pekan member of Parliament and former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

"Let him answer how the country's defence became weak when he was the prime minister.

"All this while, he has been slandering others of supposedly selling the assets of the nation," wrote Rafizi.

Rafizi's post referred to the statement made by Najib's Facebook page admin which Rafizi said contained "twisted facts" to "cuci tangan" (distance himself) from the issues surrounding the LCS project.

He said Najib was blaming everyone instead of himself, from the navy commander at that time to the previous Pakatan Harapan (PH) over the problems and delay in the investigation into issues surrounding the project.

"He is (also) blaming the people in the country for not understanding and for not being as clever as he (he had said the delay in project was normal, and the final expenditure of the project is more expensive).

"Everyone is in the wrong. He will even blame Rosmah (his wife, Datin Rosmah Mansor), if he can," added Rafizi.

"Insya Allah (God willing), this time around, the PM of FB will get it since he cannot ran away from the scandal surrounding the project."
