Cikgu Fadli freed of all charges, advises public not to leak letter

KUALA LUMPUR: The Education Ministry Disciplinary Board has ruled that mathematics teacher Mohd Fadli Mohd Salleh is not guilty of pointing out flaws in the educational syllabus.

According to a letter sighted by New Straits Times that has since gone viral on social media this evening, the teacher was freed of all three charges brought against him.

Based on the letter, the SK Gombak (1) teacher will not be subjected to any disciplinary action by the Education Ministry.

The letter was signed by Education Ministry secretary-general Yusran Shah Mohd Yusof.

However, Fadli advised the public on Facebook to not leak the letter as it is confidential information.

"There are some issues that need to be addressed. I hope that the Facebook page admins who shared the leaked images of the letter will take down their postings

"It is okay to share the result, but not the letter itself. I won't be responsible if you guys are sued by the government," he said in his post.

Previously, on his Facebook page, Fadli disclosed that disciplinary action would be taken against him.

He also uploaded a letter dated Sept 22 titled "Tindakan Tatatertib Dengan Tujuan Buang Kerja atau Turun Pangkat (Disciplinary action with the purpose of sacking or demotion".

According to the letter, Fadli had allegedly committed three offenses.

The first offence was using Facebook to criticise the timetable and subjects being taught in school.

The second was criticising the subjects being taught to Primary One pupils on the same social media platform.

Third was discussing on Facebook Live that too many subjects were being taught in school.
