BATANG KALI: The search and rescue (SAR) operation for another landslide victim at Father's Organic Farm campsites in Jalan Batang Kali-Gohtong here, which entered its seventh day today, was postponed due to heavy rain.
Hulu Langat police chief Superintendent Suffian Abdullah said the operation was postponed at 4pm due to weather that could endanger the safety of SAR team members in the field.
He said the operation will resume at 8am tomorrow.
Before that, the SAR operation was temporarily halted at about 2.30pm due to heavy rain, before it resumed about an hour later after the rain stopped.
Earlier, the SAR team managed to retrieve four more bodies of a family, in a pile of soil about seven metres deep in Sector C.
They were found rolled up in a tent.
Only one more victim is believed to be still missing after the official number of victims of the tragedy was confirmed to be only 92 people.
Selangor Police Chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed reportedly said that the number was reduced compared to the initial figure reported 94 after further review and the police report received so far.
As such, he said only one more victim, a boy, was reported still missing.
