Sanusi dares Rayer to lodge 100 reports over Penang statehood

SIK: Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said Jelutong member of parliament RSN Rayer can lodge more than police reports but it will not change the fact that Penang was leased by the Kedah government.

He said the DAP leader was blind to history, and did not understand the leasing payment for Penang.

"I have the facts. The fact is that the leasing payment is paid by the Federal government on behalf of Penang. RM10 million (plus) RM10,000 (to Kedah), (again I stressed) it is for Penang's leasing payment to Kedah.

"If (it's true that Penang) is not leased, then what is the (Federal government) paying for? Rayer is (actually) blind to history, he is clueless (regarding the leasing).

"(I dare him) to report to the police, he can lodge a report 100 times (even) I don't care, that is the fact, (please) tell him to report 100 more times," he told reporters after presenting land titles here today.

Last Thursday, Rayer lodged a police report against Sanusi for allegedly questioning the sovereignty of Penang.

He was reported as saying Sanusi's actions were considered as "extreme" when disputing the sovereignty of Penang as a state that had been established and recognised in accordance with the Federal Constitution.

Rayer was referring to a TikTok video that featured Sanusi as allegedly questioning the sovereignty of Penang by saying that "the state is leased from Kedah".
