Agong receives farewell visit from outgoing UPNM VC

KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah received a farewell visit from outgoing Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) vice-chancellor, Lieutenant General Datuk Hasagaya Abdullah at Istana Negara today (June 15).

Hasagaya, who assumed the position of UPNM's 6th vice-chancellor on Dec 19, 2020, will end his service with the Armed Forces on June 19, after three years of service with the university.

"His Majesty, as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and UPNM Chancellor, expresses his highest appreciation and gratitude for the services and devotion of Lieutenant General Datuk Hasagaya Abdullah to the force, UPNM and the country," according to a post on Istana Negara's Facebook page. – Bernama
