RAUB: Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah visited flood evacuees at three temporary flood relief centres (PPS) here yesterday (Dec 1).
Accompanied by Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah and Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, the royal family members engaged with flood victims at the Kampung Lechar, Gali Hilir, and Gali Tengah relief centres.
They also presented aid to the affected individuals.
The second wave of flooding, which affected the districts of Raub, Lipis, and Jerantut, has forced 1,670 people to evacuate.
As of 5pm today (Dec 2), 548 families are seeking refuge in 22 relief centres.
According to the Welfare Department's Disaster Info portal, Raub is the hardest-hit district, with 1,644 evacuees from 542 families sheltered at 20 centres, while Jerantut and Lipis each have 13 evacuees.
