KUALA LUMPUR: The Immigration Department is investigating the incident at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in which a minister allegedly caused a commotion.
Immigration director-general Datuk Rusli Jusoh said in a statement: "The department requests the public to allow space for the investigation to be carried out transparently and to refrain from speculation or provocation that may disrupt the investigation."
A portal reported that the minister had barged into KLIA's arrival hall yesterday to demand the release of a Chinese national, who was detained by Immigration officers.
