BATU PAHAT: A man driving a Proton Iswara was killed in a head-on collision with a lorry along Jalan Kampung Parit Awang in Yong Peng, near here today.
The driver was believed to have lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the five-tonne lorry.
Yong Peng Fire and Rescue Department operation commander Badrulhisyam Loi Abdullah said seven personnel were deployed to the scene following the 12.21am distress call.
"We extricated the victim who was pinned in the Iswara, but he was pronounced dead by medical officers at the scene. The lorry driver sustained minor injuries," he said.
The case has been referred to the police for further action.
