SHAH ALAM: A state assemblyman from Pahang as well as the chief executive officer of an aviation company were believed to be among the 10 killed in an aircraft crash in Elmina this afternoon.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, speaking at a press conference at the scene, said eight people were onboard the aircraft, while the remaining two were the driver of a car and a motorcyclist,
Both vehicles were hit by the aircraft in the crash.
"We believe that all those involved in the incident are dead. There were eight on board and two on the ground... at minimum (10 of them).
"The Fire and Rescue Department managed to put out the fire in 10 minutes.
"Forensic personnel are in the process of collecting the remains and will bring them to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for a post-mortem examination and identification process," he said.
Asked if a prominent figure was also in the passengers' manifest, Hussein said; "Yes, but we have to confirm."
The prominent figure in question is believed to be a state assemblyman from Pahang.
