KOTA KINABALU: Four contestants from Sabah have been selected to participate in the Miss World Malaysia 2023 competition.
They are Ellesha Meschille, Shu Wen Chai, Soen Tan, and Yvete Jace, each demonstrating captivating personalities and compelling missions.
The national beauty pageant will feature a total of 14 participants and is being hosted in Sabah for the second consecutive year.
The four Sabah participants aspire to champion causes pertaining to education, children, and animal welfare in their pursuit of the Miss World Malaysia title.
A dinner was held at The Crab House Seafood Restaurant in Kota Kinabalu last night to celebrate all the finalists who had recently arrived in the city.
Also present were Deputy President of the United Sabah Chinese Community Council Datuk Jimmy Tham Yuk Leong, and the owner of The Crab House Seafood Restaurant, Ken Oh.
The remaining 10 finalists of Miss World Malaysia 2023 are Adlyn Jayne Andrew (Selangor), Lyna Tan (Selangor), Maria Misha (Sarawak), Natalie Ang (Penang), Priya DK (Selangor), Rebecca Shalom (Johor), Saroop Roshi (Perak), Sisnitha (Penang), Vaishanavi (Selangor), and Xiao Zi (Pahang).
Meanwhile, HyperLive Entertainment and Fantastic Golden, the organisers of Miss World Malaysia 2023, have announced that reality performances, including preliminary events, will take place from Aug 18 to 24.
This will be followed by the grand event at the Sabah International Convention Centre on Aug 25.
Additionally, they mentioned that following the grand event, there will be the HyperLive Festival Malaysia Charity Gala and the Award Dinner at the Pacific Sutera Ballroom here on Aug 26.
