Elmina plane crash: Beechcraft Premier 1 crash pilot laid to rest

SEPANG: A gloomy atmosphere enveloped the family home of Heikal Aras Abdul Azim, who was one of the 10 victims of a Beechcraft Premier 1 crash at Elmina, Shah Alam, on Thursday.

The drizzle did not stop the visitors, especially relatives and friends of the pilot, from paying their last respects at Taman Desa Pinggiran Putra since 10am.

The remains are expected to be laid to rest at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Presint 20, Putrajaya.

The incident, which happened around 2.50pm, claimed the life of 10 people.

The private jet, ferrying six passengers and two pilots including Heikal Aras, was enroute to Subang from Langkawi but crashed onto the road, also killing two other motorists.

The other victims identified are Pahang state executive council member Datuk Seri Johari Harun; Shahrul Kamal Roslan; Ahmad Fariz Ahmad Rusli; Kharil Azwan Jamaludin; Shaharul Amir Omar; Mohd Naim Fawwaz Mohamed Muaidi; Muhammad Taufiq Mohd Zaki; Sharipuddin Shaari and Muhamad Hafiz Muhamad Salleh.
