Elmina plane crash wreckage removed from crash site [NSTTV]

SHAH ALAM: Almost all of the wreckage of the Beechcraft Model 390 Premier 1 aircraft at the crash site in Elmina has been cleared.

Several parts including the aircraft's engine turbine as well as fuselage pieces were seen being loaded into a lorry this afternoon.

It is understood that the wreckage will be brought to an aircraft hangar at the nearby Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang for further investigation and examination.

The team of local and US investigators also left ground zero at 2.45pm.

Earlier this morning, a team of investigators from the United States' National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the aircraft manufacturer, Beechcraft arrived at the site of Elmina air crash.

The team consisting of 12 people began inspecting the site by flying drones and physically assessing the wreck.

Last Thursday, a Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) six-seater aircraft registered as N28JV, crashed near Elmina, Shah Alam during its approach into Subang Airport from Langkawi.

The crash resulted in the loss of all eight individuals aboard the aircraft, along with two additional casualties among road users.
