Sabah youths produce 'Aku Sayang Sabah' Malaysia Day music video [WATCH]

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah youths have banded together to produce a music video dubbed "Aku Sayang Sabah" in conjunction with Malaysia Day.

The three-minute video features three singers-Yee Tsai Yew, Jaclyn Chia, Gary Sinn and Samson Wong. Wong, 21, directed the video.

Yee said she aspired to forge deeper connections with the community through her musical debut.

She described "Aku Sayang Sabah" as a dedication to her embracing Sabah's cultural diversity while advocating for a united and harmonious society.

"I believe in the unifying power of music that transcends boundaries.

"With 'Aku Sayang Sabah,' my intention is to inspire Sabahans to unite in celebrating our nation's history and envisioning a promising future.

"Aku Sayang Sabah" is a touching composition that pays tribute to the state's breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and hospitable community, allowing listeners to experience the distinctive essence of this multicultural society," she said in a statement.

The song's release is accompanied by an equally captivating music video, filmed against the backdrop of Sabah's iconic landmarks.

This visual representation serves as a poignant reminder of Sabah's natural beauty, diverse traditions, and welcoming people, enabling viewers to immerse themselves in the captivating tapestry of this multicultural region.
