KUALA LUMPUR: Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) is set to reopen the in-town flight check-in and baggage drop facility at KL Sentral beginning Sept 1.
For a start, it will be accessible only to Malaysia Airlines passengers and will be extended later to other airlines.
Travellers can conveniently check in for their flights and drop off their luggage at KL Sentral from 6am to 10pm.
Passengers who check in at KL Sentral will receive their boarding pass and their checked-in baggage will be security scanned and tagged to their final destination.
Malaysia Aviation Group chief marketing officer Lau Yin May said the resumption of ERL's check-in services allows passengers to board the train straight to the airport without any hassle.
"This will provide customers with flexibility and ensure their journey is seamless," she said.
Malaysia Airlines passengers travelling domestically or internationally who are using the in-town check-in facility must check in at least two hours before their flight departure time.
ERL is offering RM10 off on their next purchase of a KLIA Ekspres ticket, available for a limited time.
The voucher will be given to each adult passenger who uses the airline check-in facility at KL Sentral and is valid for redemption until Dec 31.
Passengers can visit www.KLIAekspres.com for more information on the in-town flight check-in facility. The public can also get further assistance through customer enquiry at 03-22678000 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am–6pm), KLIA Ekspres Facebook and X accounts.
