KUALA LUMPUR: Former de facto law minister Datuk Mohd Zaid Ibrahim will be questioned by the police tomorrow.
In a post on X, he said that he will be investigated under the Sedition Act and also Section 223 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities or network services.
"I was hoping for a good weekend, but it will not be.
"Tomorrow, I will be questioned by Bukit Aman. Sedition, what else? With Sec 223 thrown in," he wrote.
Zaid however did not disclose the issue he was being investigated for.
"Why can't they be more charitable to a harmless old man like me? I like to tweet. We have no time nor inclination for mischief, no time to incite or cause harm to anyone.
"Sometimes, we want to air our views to socialise and elucidate other viewpoints. Social media can be educational, too.
"We never ask them for favours, titles, or the chairmanship of agencies or GLCs. We never ask for DNAA. We only want a small space for ourselves to talk and think freely. Is that too much to ask?," he added.
