KUALA LUMPUR: Former Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Musa Hassan tied the knot with a woman named Qistina Lim at a hotel in Shah Alam last night.
The wedding reception of Musa was shared by someone believed to be his brother, Mohammad Izzat Hassan, on Facebook, showcasing images of the wedding ceremony, family and guests in attendance.
In the caption accompanying the images shared on social media, Mohammad Izzat expressed gratitude and congratulated his elder brother.
"Alhamdulillah and congratulations, Tan Sri Musa Hassan and Puan Sri Qistina Lim, you (Musa) have always been my idol, advisor, leader and big brother. Welcome, Kak Long Qistina, into our family. May you both be blessed with love, (God's) mercy and remain together until Jannah," he said.
Additionally, celebrity preacher Datuk Tuan Asmawi Tuan Umar also ran a Facebook Live broadcast lasting two minutes and 18 seconds during the wedding reception.
"The wedding ceremony of Tan Sri Musa Hassan & Puan Sri Qistina Lim," he announced on his social media account.
Several Facebook users who watched the live broadcast extended their congratulations and best wishes for a lasting marriage for the couple.
"Congratulations to the newlyweds, Tan Sri Musa Hassan. Tan Sri, whom I have admired for so long. Please convey my greetings to him," said NoorAini Ismail.
"Congratulations to the newlyweds, Tan Sri and Puan Sri," added Hasmah Abu.
For the record, Musa had previously separated from his wife, Elly Afizahwati Abdul Jalil, 42, who filed for divorce in the Syariah Lower Court on March 30. The divorce application was filed due to prolonged conflict or shiqaq between Musa and Elly, whom he had been married to for ten years.
