KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) is inviting the business community from all sectors to participate in a 'Productivity Step-Up' programme initiative.
In a statement today (September 27), MPC said it cannot emphasise enough the 'critical role' played by productivity across all industries and the importance of harnessing the power of technology and digitalisation to elevate productivity and foster innovation.
"We firmly believe that by boosting productivity, Malaysia can solidify its position as a global leader in the ever-evolving landscape of industry as aimed under the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP)," said its deputy director-general, Zahid Ismail.
He said the programme is a comprehensive initiative designed to empower businesses encompassing manufacturing, services, and agriculture.
"The programme is set to engage over 1,000 companies, targets significant improvement of 5-10 per cent in key performance indicators such as productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, morale, and environment, highlighting MPC's dedication to boosting productivity while embracing digital transformation," Zahid said.
He said MPC's initiative to engage the business community comprising entrepreneurs and stakeholders from all sectors to improve their business processes underscores its commitment to help the country as it seeks a position among the top global 12 in the World Competitiveness Ranking via strategic digitalisation efforts.
