KUALA LUMPUR: The Sarawak Pan Borneo Highway Project (LBP) is expected to be fully completed next year, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He said the tender process for 19 work packages for the 3664km Pan Borneo Sabah Phase 1B project, involving a cost of RM15.7 billion, would be completed next month.
"The Sarawak-Sabah Link Road (SSLR) Phase 2 project, with a length of more than 320km and at a cost of almost RM7.4 billion, will also commence by the end of this year.
"The North South Highway (PLUS) widening project from four to six lanes was extended from Sedenak to Simpang Renggam at a cost of RM931 million," he said while tabling the 2024 budget in Dewan Rakyat today.
