KUALA LUMPUR: The International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition 2023 (PIPOC 2023), hosted by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), is set to uncover in-depth insights on the outlook for the oil palm industry.
More than 100 world-renowned speakers will share valuable insights on current trends, challenges, opportunities and latest technologies at the world's largest oil palm congress and exhibition, to be held from November 7-9, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
MPOB director-general, Datuk Dr Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir said participants will focus on exploring sustainability and innovation in the oil palm industry, emphasising environmental stewardship, social responsibility and economic development.
"PIPOC 2023 will delve into the latest research and technological advancements, fostering innovation while ensuring sustainable practices," he said in a statement today (October 24).
The event is expected to gather 2,000 participants from across the globe, providing an excellent networking opportunity for participants to connect, collaborate and establish beneficial partnerships.
Themed 'Navigating Uncertainties, Building Resilience', PIPOC 2023 will host four concurrent conferences, namely Agriculture, Biotechnology and Sustainability Conference; Processing, Food Safety and Nutrition Conference; Downstream and Value Addition Conference; and Global Economics and Marketing Conference.
PIPOC 2023 will be launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and Deputy Prime Minister and Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Sri Fadillah Yusof will also be present at the event. --BERNAMA
