KOTA BARU: A building which was constructed thanks to donations from the Sultan of Kelantan Sultan Muhammad V was destroyed in the Palestine-Israel conflict.
Yesterday, an Instagram account known as "koleksi_sultanmuhammadv" posted a 'before and after' photos of the building in Palestine after an attack.
It said apart from Sultan Muhammad V, the donations had come from the Kelantan government, its people and the Aid4Palestine coalition to develop the project.
The posting said :
"Do you remember a building which was built for Palestinians donated by Sultan of Kelantan?"
"It is understood the people of Kelantan made donations. The building is now totally damaged by after it was bombed by enemies who will receive Allah's wrath. May God grant true victory to our brothers over there for their struggle and grant them patience," it said.
The post also prayed for the souls of those who were killed in the conflict.
There was also one photo of a signboard with information about the project when it was being built.
Based on the information, the project involved funds amounting to US$190,000 and was known as the Al-Andalus Building Restoration Project and it was funded by Sultan
Its supervisor was "Cinta Gaza Malaysia" and the project began on Aug 15, 2021 and finished on Dec 15, 2021.
