KUALA LUMPUR: Motorists using the West Coast Expressway via the Assam Jawa toll plaza near Kuala Selangor will be charged for toll beginning 12.01am.
This came after 42 days of toll free operations. WCE said the toll rates for each vehicle class will be based on the rates set by the Malaysian Highway Authority.
"The toll collection on the WCE is entirely electronic, and we advise users to ensure that their e-wallet balances and Touch 'n Go cards are sufficient.
"Please make sure to use the correct payment lane," it said in a Facebook post.
For the southbound entry gate, Class 1 vehicles will be subjected to a RM5.05 toll rate, followed by Class 2 (RM10.11), Class 3 (RM15.16), Class 4 (RM2.53), and Class 5 (RM3.79).
Meanwhile, class 1 vehicles entering the northbound entry gate will be charged RM4.12, followed by Class 2 (RM8.24), Class 3 (RM12.36), Class 4 (RM2.06), and Class 5 (RM3.09).
The toll rates for the different classes of vehicles will also be the same for the exit gate heading towards both the south and north.
