KLANG: A sombre atmosphere envelops the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah's (HTAR) forensic medical department as family members of victims in the Kapar aircraft crash are seen to be consoling each other.
Family members of Daniel Yee Hsiang Khoon, 30, who was one of the victims onboard the BK 160 Gabriel light aircraft that crashed yesterday was seen hugging and comforting each other after completing their DNA sample to assist in the identification process today.
Soon after, they left the compound without having a word with the members of the media waiting outside the department.
Security at the department's compound was also tight, with police and security guards remaining on guard.
At the same time, members of the media were asked to give a respectable distance towards the family members.
Meanwhile, the family members of another victim Roshaan Singh Rania, 42, completed the process 10 minutes later.
They were also heavily escorted by the hospital staff before leaving the compound.
Earlier, both next-of-kin arrived at the hospital around 8am for a briefing prior to the post-mortem.
It is also learnt that a post-mortem for the victims will be conducted after both bodies have been identified.
The BK 160 Gabriel light aircraft crashed near Kampung Tok Muda, Kapar, yesterday.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan in a press conference yesterday confirmed the deaths of the two victims onboard.
He said the 1,300 kilogramme aircraft, belonging to a recreational flight company plunged and buried more than two metres deep.
