PETALING JAYA: The retail prices of Carlsberg and Heineken are set to increase by five per cent from April 1.
According to a Sin Chew Daily report, quoting Petaling Jaya Coffeeshop Association chairman Keu Kok Meng, retailers have received official notice about the price hike.
He said they received the notice three weeks ago that prices would increase due to a rise in operational and ingredients costs.
Keu said the last time beer prices increased was in July 2022, when they went up by six per cent.
He said retailers had no choice but to pass on increased prices to consumers.
