Pahang's Makmur Aidilfitri sale offers discounts up to 30pc

KUANTAN: Consumers across Pahang will be able to buy essential items at lower prices during the Makmur Aidilfitri sale which begins tomorrow.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the sale would be held in supermarkets and halls in 23 locations from April 3 to 7.

"During the sale, essential goods will be subsidised by the state government between 15 and 30 per cent. This aims to ease the cost of living for the people, especially ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

"I hope the people will make the programme a success. This will benefit everyone," he said on his Facebook page.

Wan Rosdy said the programme was coordinated by state Consumer Affairs and Human Resources Committee chairman Sim Chon Siang, with assistance from local authorities and participating supermarkets.

Sim said the sale would offer discounts for a wide range of essentials, including cooking oil, frozen meat and onions.

He said the sale would be held in Temerloh, Bentong, Jerantut and Bera from April 3 to 4, then in Kuantan, Lipis, Raub and Cameron Highlands from April 5 to 6 and in Pekan, Maran and Rompin from April 6 to 7.
