Dewan Negara president Datuk Mutang Tagal meets Azerbaijan PM Asadov

BAKU, (Azerbaijan) : Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Dewan Negara president Datuk Mutang Tagal to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation.

During the meeting, Asadov and Mutang had noted on the successful development of friendly relations between Baku and Kuala Lumpur, according to Azerbaijan state news agency, Azertac.

The discussions revolved around the prospects for expanding cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic, investment, energy, humanitarian and other spheres.

They also commended the close cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organisations, including the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), it added.

The two leaders also hailed the current level of Azerbaijan-Malaysia inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Asadov also hailed Mustang's participation in the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, held in Baku from yesterday (May 1) to tomorrow (May 3). — BERNAMA
