HULU SELANGOR: Some 18 per cent of eligible voters have cast their ballots for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election as of 10am, the Election Commission reported.
Of the eligible voters, 769 early voters cast their votes on May 7.
A total of 39,362 ordinary voters are eligible to vote in today's by-election, triggered by the death of its three-term incumbent, DAP's Lee Kee Hiong.
The battle for Kuala Kubu Baharu sees a four-cornered fight involving Pang Sock Tao (Pakatan Harapan), Khairul Azhari Saut (Perikatan Nasional), Hafizah Zainuddin (Parti Rakyat Malaysia) and Nyau Ke Xin (Independent).
Voting ends at 6pm across 17 polling stations.
The voting centre in SJKC Bukit Fraser where there are only 40 registered voters, will close at 2pm.
