EPF online services disrupted due to systems maintenance

KUALA LUMPUR: Employees Provident Fund (EPF) online services that had been disrupted since yesterday (Friday/May 10) following maintenance activities are expected to resume tomorrow (Sunday/May 12).

The systems maintenance was to facilitate the implementation of the new EPF Account 3 that allows members under 55 to access funds for short-term financial needs.

"EPF is carrying out systems maintenance and services are expected to experience disruptions during the stated date and time.

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Our services are expected to return to normal after the specified time," read the notice posted on the EPF website on Monday (May 6).

The services affected include those for members, employers and business partners.

Following the restructuring of EPF accounts, 75 per cent of contributions are allocated to Account 1, 15 per cent to Account 2 and 10 per cent to Account 3.
