KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced RM2 million in total to assist media practitioners' welfare and their upskilling in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the National Journalists' Day celebration in Kuching, Sarawak, Anwar said RM1 million would be channeled for the Tabung Kasih@Hawana fund for 2025 to assist more veterans and media practitioners who are experiencing hardship and poor health.
"I would also like to announce an allocation of RM1 million to the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Centre of Excellence to organise courses and training related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology for media practitioners."
