UiTM climbs to top 39% in QS World University rankings

KUALA LUMPUR: Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) has achieved a significant milestone by ranking in the top 39 percent of the world's best universities in 2025, according to QS World University Rankings.

Its international research network score has improved significantly, increasing from 24.3 to 68.6, marking the university's highest score across all QS indicators.

Globally, the university's international research network is ranked 503, showing an improvement in academic research.

UiTM Vice Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr Shahrin Sahib said that since the launch of the UiTM 2025 agenda in 2021, the university has been dedicated to enhancing its academic reputation, leading to five consecutive years of improvement in the QS rankings.

The university has also recently initiated the development of the UiTM 2030 Strategic Plan, and expects these efforts to have a positive international impact, he said in a statement.

QS World University Rankings employs nine indicators.

UiTM has improved in the academic reputation indicator, climbing 15 places to reach the 288th position.

The university also achieved a rank of 234 for the employer reputation indicator.
